Who We Are
Support Services are a tangible way to show breast cancer patients that we are there every step of their journey. Our NBCF Support Services team provides critical support for patients at every step - whether they're newly diagnosed, facing a terminal diagnosis, or facing breast cancer alone. A huge part of this support is the HOPE Kit Program.
What We Do
When the program was started 1,500 breast cancer patients were surveyed and asked what items would be helpful while going through treatment.
NBCF created the HOPE Kit, a care package filled with thoughtful items, which patients have found to be comforting and encouraging while undergoing breast cancer treatment.
Within this program volunteers will:
- Pack kits at an NBCF-hosted packing event
- Prepare resources and products for packing
- Write encouragement cards
- Set up, support HOPE kit team, and tear down at events
- Provide shipping and administrative support
